2020 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
We had two wonderful guest speakers, namely Janice Spraakman who spoke about her very interesting career in the funeral industry. Also, Emma Jayne Grigson who spoke about her career in the Australian Defence Force and also how her grandmother who had a profound influence on her. Alison from "Sorbet" Fashions provided great entertainment and fun!
Overall, a great day had by all.
"Our wonderful morning at Dunluce Castle on the 6th February began with an elegant and delectable morning tea served in the dining and drawing rooms of this amazing home, accompanied by a casual chat with our hostess, Sarah, who owns the property with her husband.
Next we were treated to a slide show of the history of the previous owners and the surrounding area. Who knew of the extent of the smugglers' tunnel network in Brighton?
Finally were were given a tour of the whole house which has been lovingly and authentically restored over the past 15 years.
This fabulous morning was enjoyed immensely by our 26 members - a real hidden gem!!
