Twin Waters VIEW Club
About
Twin Waters VIEW Club was formed in 2006.
Currently, the Club sponsors ten Smith Family Learning for Life students and is actively involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for The Smith Family programs.
We are a dynamic club of approximately 100 members who actively fundraise to support our 10 sponsored Learning for Life students who are currently enrolled in secondary school and university. We are proud to also support hundreds of disadvantaged students each year by raising funds that are donated to The Smith Family educational program initiatives, and by providing hundreds of backpacks filled with stationery items for distribution to local families in need at Christmastime. The Twin Waters VIEW Club are a fun group who enjoy delicious meals at our monthly luncheon meetings that are held at The Loose Goose Restaurant. At each meeting we have an interesting guest speaker and raise funds from raffle prizes and book and jam stalls. Our members are very welcoming and our club has been the platform in forming many long and lasting friendships. We strive to make everyone who attend our meetings leave feeling positive and happy.
We are always open to new members, so please get in touch today and come and see what it's all about.

Meet Our 2024 Committee
Annual General Meeting in February 2024
At the first lunch meeting for 2024 Members held the Annual General Meeting, to welcome in the new Committee. It was a celebration of the achievements of 2023 and anticipation of the new ideas for the coming 12 months. We ended the 2023 year with 93 members, 10 Learning for Life fully sponsored students and financially supported hundreds of others through The Smith Family after school assisted maths, reading and sporting programs and the Christmas toy and book appeal. We are very proud of our achievements and the fact that we are truly making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
The year commenced by welcoming five new members, and we’re looking forward to an exciting program of luncheons, guest speakers, social events and fundraising opportunities. Perhaps the most satisfying of all is that we will welcome two more LFL students mid-year.

November 2023 Dancing Competition
November 2023 Dancing Competition
Members and guests enjoyed a Mexican Hat dance competition, exhausting for those volunteers who took part, and a Jumping Jellybean game, followed by an attempted smashing of the traditional pinata, which proved far too resistant, despite a fair pummelling. Raffles and competitions were held throughout and a conga line danced and swayed to Mambo No 5 Maracas have never sounded so good.
All in all, it was a spectacular way to honour the past 17 years, and welcome the next.
Celebrating with Tequila Sunrises
Celebrating with Tequila Sunrises
Our birthday celebrations started with a visit to the bar for a Tequila Sunrise, handmade with love, passion and a good drop of the good stuff, by Doreen, followed by a lot of chatting, dancing, photos and shaking of maracas.
The VIXENS decorating team again did us proud creating a stunning backdrop of colour and vibrancy. Coupled with the upbeat sounds of the Mariachi band and Tijuana Brass, our senoritas were transported to another place and time..
August 2023 Daffodil Day
August 2023 Daffodil Day
Our VIXENS dressed the verandah in stunning shades of yellow for Daffodil Day, to show our support for those with cancer. Many of us have been touched in some way by cancer, be it ourselves, a friend or loved ones. Daffodil Day represents hope, and our thoughts and love go out to all those who are just beginning, receiving, or completing their treatment now.
We also held a fun competition where we had to match photographs of pets with photos of their respective owners. Luana won the prize for the most pet/owner matches.

Christmas In July 2023
Christmas In July 2023
Members celebrated Christmas In July in style under a canopy of fairy lights, surrounded by tinsel, decorative tables and a spectacular Christmas Tree. Four new Members were welcomed, and seven Members celebrated their July birthday's. A traditional Christmas dinner was served with succulent turkey and roasted vegetables, followed by Christmas pudding with brandy custard and ice cream.
Our guest speaker was Dorothy Gillingham from Knitted Knockers, a not-for-profit organisation engaging groups all over Australia to knit prosthesis for breast cancer survivors.
July 2023 Fashion Parade
July 2023 Fashion Parade
The eagerly anticipated Fashion Parade was held at the Duporth Tavern with 83 fashionistas attending. Our Member models were Penny M, Tina, Doreen, Penny G and Chanelle. They looked fantastic as they strutted their stuff like professionals. The beautiful fabrics swished and swirled as they paraded around the room and amongst the tables stopping on occasion for an extra twirl, or for someone to take a closer look. Jackets were added and removed for interest and the alternative colour selections of each garment were held up on display by the Portifino compare.
Every rack was brimming with Australian made clothing of coordinated colour that beckoned and enticed the audience who couldn't wait to try and buy. To add to the excitement, there were so many accessories to choose from, a kaleidoscope of colour in scarves and clips, necklaces and pendants, beads and bows, purses and bags galore.
The day was mad even more enjoyable with a meal and complimentary wine/juice, followed by a number of enticing raffles and door prizes.
